JuJutsu Kaisen: Execution is not precisely an original film. Rather, the newest film from the JuJutsu Kaisen supernatural series acts as a recap of the show's sophomore season stitched together with the initial episodes of its upcoming season, which kicks off the Culling Games storyline from the manga series. This positions Execution, which recently received a latest teaser, the first way to watch the beginning of the upcoming season ahead of its premiere in early 2026. The movie premieres in Japan on Nov. 7, and in North American regions on December 5.

The Culling Games Arc

In the Culling Games plot, Special Grade sorcerer Yuta Okkotsu is introduced in the anime series and is charged by sorcery authorities to execute his peer Yuji Itadori. Their highly anticipated battle takes place for the initial time on the silver screen, and if the artists at the studio have a treat as episodes 40 and 41 in store for viewers this holiday season, JuJutsu Kaisen: Execution may prove to be the gift that everyone has hoped for.

The "Thunderclap" Controversy

"Thunderclap" from the second season is frequently praised as a top-tier scene in animated series lore, notwithstanding the major issues in the previous year when the series first premiered.
