We used street-view imagery on Google Maps and the local mapping service Yandex Maps to match the unique yellow hue of a adjacent residential complex captured in the footage. Locating other buildings, lamp-posts and the street layout verified the exact location the pictures were captured. We also checked that the videos were new and that the images had not undergone digital alteration.
