Netflix Selects Ideal Performer for Mr. 2 in One Piece Season 3

Baroque Works is set to play a huge role in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, although the real showdown won’t unfold until the third season, and a adored, popular member has now been chosen.

The platform declared recently that Cole Escola will appear in the One Piece cast for the third season and will play Bon Clay. Bon Clay can use their power to transform into an identical duplicate of anyone they’ve touched with their right hand. Escola, who is identifies as non-binary and goes by they/them, will portray a rendition of that figure re-envisioned as non-binary identifying, rather than as a drag performer, in the live-action series, unlike the initial comic and cartoon version.

This performer will work alongside multiple recently announced actors tasked with bringing the organization to the screen, including leader Sir Crocodile, played by the seasoned performer, Sophia Anne Caruso as a key member, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the lineup as King Nefertari Cobra of Alabasta.

Though Bon Clay is a key figure of the organization, the individual will be introduced in One Piece the third season. With the second season set to cover the Little Garden arc, this represents a notable change in the timing of the character’s debut, one that could indicate further changes to the narrative framework.

Escola’s blend of precise humor and deep sensitivity makes them a perfect fit for the role. In addition to their recent voice performance in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they garnered significant recognition and several accolades for writing and starring in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, showcasing the adaptability they’ll bring to one of One Piece’s widely praised characters.

The platform’s adapted One Piece program is set to return for its second season on March 10th, 2026.
