The Co-Creator of Call of Duty, Has Died in an LA Vehicle Accident

The visionary game developer, who helped create the immensely successful video game Call of Duty, has passed away in a vehicle crash in Los Angeles, California aged 55.

His passing was confirmed by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio that he helped create.

The renowned industry figure passed away following his vehicle was involved in a crash and caught fire on a freeway in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, US media outlets report.

"We are facing a devastating loss, and we stand with Vince's family, those closest to him, and the countless individuals inspired by his work," an official with Electronic Arts stated.
